Were you worried that there would be no announcements concerning Google Glass at this years I/O? Fear not, we’ve learned today that several new third party apps will be making their way onto your face including Facebook, Twitter, Evernote, Tumblr, CNN, and Elle reports The New York Times. These additional apps come along side the only other two third party apps to already be supported on Google Glass, The New York Times and Path. Google has also officially dubbed any software made for Google Glass, Glassware… get it?
Since the advent of Intragram, companies have been scrambling to create the same kind of instant unloadable media app but for videos rather than images. Until today the front runner in that race was Cinemagram which allows users to create a short .gif that can then be uploaded. Today, Twitter kicked down the motion picture door with Vine. Vine is similar to Cinemagram in that users can take short video, six seconds to be exact, but Twitter’s app offers sound, begging a – heard it through the grape Vine pun. Sorry.
