Apple held its iPhone event today announcing the long anticipated and rumored iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s. Although many of us were expecting announcements for the iPad, Apple TV, and maybe even the iWatch(?), we may need to tune back our urges and be happy with what Tim Cook and friends gave us. The iPhone 5s and 5c will be available for preorder starting tomorrow and will be available to in-store purchase on September 20th.
The 5c will be starting at $99 on contract and the 5S begins at $199. Apple is completely doing away with the iPhone 5 in lieu of the 5c, but consumers will still have the option to get the iPhone 4s on contract for free. According to apple.com the 5s and 5c should be available on all four major US carriers, and the 5c will be available at launch in the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the UK.
